When you Plugin a Pendrive, no response and Pendrive not detected, then This post helps you to enable the USB ports in Windows Xp, Windows 7, Windows 8 and even Windows 8.1 Operating System of your computer, when control panel is blocked. Follow the Tips given below to enable USB ports :
Using ( Device Manager ) devmgmt.msc :
These steps are to enable the USB ports in Windows Xp, Windows 7, Windows 8 and even Windows 8.1 Using ( Device Manager ) devmgmt.msc :
Go to Run ( Winkey + R )
Type " devmgmt.msc ", without quotes and click OK.
Click on the Universal Serial Bus controllers. And Enable all the disabled ports.
Enable USB ports in Windows Xp, 7 and 8. Using regedit and devmgmt.msc
Using ( Registry Editor ) regedit :
These steps are to enable the USB ports in Windows Xp, Windows 7, Windows 8 and even Windows 8.1 Using ( Registry Editor ) regedit :
Go to Run ( Winkey + R )
Type " regedit ", without quotes and click OK.
Locate and click the following registry key : HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\UsbStor
In the right pane, Double tap the START.
In the value box, type 3.
Quit Registry Editor.
Enable USB ports in Windows Xp, 7 and 8. Using regedit and devmgmt.msc
Note: To disable the USB port Type 4 in the value box.
